Palestinian Reporter Pal of Ms. Rachel Reveals He Filmed Hamas Terrorists Beating and Torturing Israeli Hostages But Did Not Publish It to Avoid Putting the Terrorists ‘At Risk’

Motaz Azaiza is a reporter from Gaza who documented life in Gaza following the Palestinian raid on southern Egypt on October 7th and the murder of 1,200 Jews, including young adults at a concert targeted by the barbarians.

In April, Motaz Azaiza was celebrated by TIME Magazine as one of the most influential people in 2024. He was even nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Now, Azaiza has shared that, although he has footage of Hamas terrorists beating and torturing Israeli hostages following the October 7th attacks, he did not release it because he wanted to avoid putting the terrorists ‘at risk.’

In a disturbing September 2026 Arabic-language interview on the Taqarob podcast, which reveals staggering levels of narrative coordination amongst members of the press, Azaiza said he filmed Israeli hostages being beaten by a crowd on 7 October 2023 after encountering a Hamas vehicle. He chose not to publish the footage “because he did not want those shown to be identified and targeted.”

He described widespread self-censorship among Gaza journalists: cameras were often lowered when people criticized Hamas.

He also shared the existence of a WhatsApp group called “SMART,” which he said included many journalists and was linked to Hamas media figures at the Rafah crossing, and was used to coordinate pressure on those who challenged the group’s narrative.

“I saw the vehicle of the Al-Qassam Brigades, and there were Israeli captives there,” Azaiza recalled. “People got out, watched, beat them, hit them, and I followed them and filmed. But I did not publish those videos. Why? Because I did not want to ruin the lives of the people who were filmed.”

“I understood that Israel would use those videos to identify every person who was there and eliminate them,” he added. “I did not want to be responsible, even indirectly, for the deaths of those people in exchange for a few likes and views online.”

YouTube star Ms. Rachel, who makes educational videos for children, has tried to quietly disappear a video where she calls Azaiza her ‘friend.’

She has donated at least $3,000 to the campaign of far-left Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
