Ranking All 9 Women’s WWE Money within the Bank Winners From Worst to Best

The WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match has existed since the early 2000s. Stars like Edge, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins had career-changing wins that reshaped WWE’s landscape at different points. A handful of stars have been unsuccessful when trying to cash in a contract.

WWE finally extended the same opportunity to its female stars after the brand split in 2016. Carmella won the first Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match in 2017. Nine women have won the title contract.

Each winner has successfully cashed in. Top stars like Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Rhea Ripley have not captured a briefcase due to consistently being in the title picture at various points.

With nine winners, some have worked out well. Other winners and their ensuing reigns, however, have not. Here are the nine women to win Money in the Bank ranked from worst to best.

#9. Nikki A.S.H & #8. Carmella

Nikki A.S.H. won the contract during her runs as “almost a superhero.” She was somewhat popular with fans, but didn’t truly feel like someone who would be a major champion.

She cashed in on Flair after winning the case, but only for a SummerSlam program. She never won another major belt. Carmella was the first woman to win the case. It was a seminal moment, but her reign was marred by interference from James Ellsworth. Her feud with Asuka was also bad.

#7. Asuka & #6. Liv Morgan

Asuka certainly deserved to win Money in the Bank. She won the first Women’s Royal Rumble, but was traditionally booked below the Horsewomen of NXT, and especially Flair.

She was the logical winner in 2020 against Nia Jax, Carmella, Lacey Evans, Dana Brooke, and Shayna Baszler. She was awarded the title after Becky Lynch relinquished it due to pregnancy.

Liv Morgan won in 2022 and cashed in on Ronda Rousey. Rousey’s popularity was on the downswing, but she won the title back from Morgan after 98 days.

#5. Alexa Bliss & #4. Naomi

Alexa Bliss had already won a major title before winning Money in the Bank in 2018. She was one of SmackDown’s top heels despite being one of WWE’s smallest performers.

Her mic ability set her apart from other women. Bliss cashed in the same night during the RAW Women’s Title match between Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey. The moment was better than her title run, but she had pedigree backing up her win.

Naomi had a groundswell of support last year after turning heel on Jade Cargill. Despite being a heel, fans cheered for her when she won the contract. She cashed in at Evolution during a match between IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley.

It was her first major title in many years, but her run was cut short after she announced she was pregnant after SummerSlam.

#3. WWE fans were ready for Tiffy Time in 2024

Tiffany Stratton quickly allied with Nia Jax on SmackDown when she joined WWE’s main roster. The duo had a partnership that was primarily based on Jax calling the shots. Stratton gained popularity the longer she was on the main roster.

She won Money in the Bank in 2024 and held the contract until early January 2025. After months of teasing a cash-in, Stratton successfully executed her contract on Jax.

Jax bullied her not to do so, but the cash-in turned Stratton face. She held the title until Jade Cargill defeated her on November 1st. The lengthy reign and face turn helped her spot.

#2. IYO SKY officially joined the main event after winning Money in the Bank

Bayley may have been the leader of Damage CTRL, but wrestling fans knew that IYO SKY was going to be the breakout star. She was one of the best wrestlers in the world before joining WWE. Her work in NXT solidified that.

She joined the main roster during the transition from Vince McMahon to Triple H. SKY’s exciting move set and solid work set her apart from other women who won the contract.

IYO cashed in on Bianca Belair, who at the time was one of WWE’s most protected stars. She held the title until losing it to Bayley at WrestleMania. Her reign and storyline with Bayley and Damage CTRL set her apart from other winners.

#1. Bayley’s win marked a change in character

Bayley’s spot in WWE history cannot be challenged. She’s been instrumental in building the division into a roster full of diverse women lauded for their skills rather than mostly for their looks.

While she held gold a few times before winning Money in the Bank in 2021, she always played second fiddle to Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks. Bayley cashed in on Flair after debuting a new look.

She also turned heel, displaying her versatility as a performer. The Queen’s wins came and went without much storytelling or character development. Bayley’s Money in the Bank win and cash-in had both.
