AEW star John Morrison recently talked about his relationship with the Miz. The duo used to be a popular tag team in WWE in the 2000s and even had a stint in the company a few years ago. He talked about the Miz’s new partnership with Kit Wilson.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, John Morrison sat down to discuss his history with the Miz and the Awesome star’s current tag team with Kit Wilson. He shared how Kit can grow into a big star someday.
“Is he still cursed? You know, first of all the The Miz is I think, he’s proved it at this point one of the best talents and performers of all time and also one of my favourite tag team partners of all times and you know, the person I’ve had the most fun with in the business might be him. Just in and out of the ring, and for so long, dude just so much goofy and fun stuff. What I think about him and Kit Wilson you know, its interesting…. I think that Kit Wilson is extremely lucky to be teaming with him , and Kit’s like pretty good you know? I like him. You know, if he keeps training and keeps his like motivation in a couple years he might be almost as good as John Morrison,” he said.
The Miz and Kit Wilson even appeared at this year’s WrestleMania and interrupted John Cena’s segment.
John Morrison talked about his dynamic with the Miz
In the same interview, the newly crowned PWR World Heavyweight Champion talked about his relationship with the Awesome star. He revealed how their relationship changed when he returned to WWE in 2020.
“When I first started tagging with The Miz, I was in the flip situation that I had been in with MnM as Joey Mercury was a veteran, even though we’re the same age, but more of a mentor to me and when the Miz and I started, I felt like I was a mentor to him but he evolved and had such a strong personality and learned quickly enough that, that relationship kind of changed quickly. When I went back in the pandemic to tag with him again, it was like we were definitely equals, at least if not. He had his mind wrapped around the tly sharedpsychology of what world wrestling entertainment was in my absence, I had been gone for 8 years,” he said.
It would be great to see John Morrison and the Miz team up together again some day.
