Becoming a Demon is one of the first major progression steps you can take in Slayers 2. Once you transform, you gain access to the Demon progression system and can start working toward Demon Arts, Demon quests, Souls, bosses, and endgame gear.
However, becoming a Demon is not an easy task. You will first need to lower your reputation, find Muzan at night, complete his transformation quest, and drink his Blood. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to become a Demon in Slayers 2.
Everything on becoming a Demon in Slayers 2
There are four main steps you need to complete:
- Get your reputation to -40 or lower.
- Find Muzan at night.
- Complete Muzan’s transformation quest.
- Drink Muzan’s Blood.
Once you complete all four steps, your character becomes a Demon, and the Demon progression system becomes available.
Get Negative Reputation
The first thing you need to do is lower your reputation to -40 or lower. You can do this by defeating Civilians in the starting village. Regular Civilians can reduce your reputation by 1 point per kill, making them a simple option if you are starting from positive reputation.
As your reputation drops, you will receive messages from Muzan at certain reputation milestones. Once you reach -40 reputation, you meet the requirement needed to begin searching for him.
Find Muzan at night
Once you reach the required reputation, the next step is finding Muzan. Note that Muzan does not have a fixed location. His spawn location rotates, so you may need to check different areas before finding him. There is also a strict time requirement, as Muzan only spawns at night. He may spawn at one of these locations:
- Mist Village
- Snow Village
- Mistfall Harbor
- Iceveil/Frost Valley
- Demon Village
Mist Village and Snow Village are particularly useful locations to check if you are still near the starting area. If Muzan is not at one location, you can check the other possible areas or server hop until you find him.
Start Muzan’s Quest
Follow the steps to start Muzan’s Quest in Slayers 2:
- Find Muzan at night and interact with him. He will give you a Biwa Bell.
- Use the Biwa Bell to teleport to the Infinity Castle.
- Inside the Infinity Castle, you will find a second Muzan sitting on a throne. Climb the stairs and interact with him.
- He will give you the Demon transformation quest. The quest requires you to collect nine Spider Lilies and deliver Dr. Hishigima to a particular location.
- You will get Muzan’s Blood as a reward for completing this quest.
Collect the Spider Lilies
For the first quest, you need to collect nine Spider Lilies found around the Bamboo Grove Sanctuary. From the starting village, head out through the West gate and follow the route down toward the shrine gate. You can then reach the forested area around Bamboo Grove Sanctuary.
The flowers are scattered around the area, including locations along the cliffs near the water and around the bridge near the small house. There are several possible spawn points, so you should be able to find the required flowers by moving through the Grove rather than searching one specific spot.
Rescue and Escort Dr. Hishigima
After collecting the nine Spider Lilies, your next objective is to rescue Dr. Hishigima, who is being protected by Slayers, so you will need to reach his location and escort him to the designated waypoint. He is located on top of a pillar or mountain to the east of the Grove Sanctuary. Reaching him requires some vertical movement, so having the necessary movement skills makes this part considerably easier.
- Find and rescue Dr. Hishigima.
- Escort him to the waypoint location shown by the quest.
- Slayers will attack you while you are escorting him. Do not engage with them. Simply dodge, skip, and run past the Demon Slayers.
- Take Dr. Hishigima directly to the waypoint and complete the objective.
Once you deliver Dr. Hishigima to the required location, the Slayers will stop attacking you, the quest will complete, and you will instantly receive Muzan’s Blood.
Drink Muzan’s Blood
The final step is to drink Muzan’s Blood. After completing Muzan’s quest, consume the Blood to complete the Demon transformation. Your character will officially become a Demon, and the Demon progression system will become available.
Once you become a Demon, you will permanently unlock the Biwa Bell. You can use the Biwa Bell to teleport back to the Infinity Castle, where Muzan sits on his throne. Interact with him to access the Demon progression system. He will give you options to:
- Select tasks involving defeating Hashiras or higher-ranked Demon Slayers.
- Roll for Demon Arts.
Each Demon Art roll has a 50% chance of giving you nothing and a 50% chance of giving you a Demon Art. However, obtaining a Demon Art does not immediately unlock its moveset. If you successfully roll a Demon Art, you will receive its orb. Then, you will need to leave the Infinity Castle and consume the orb outside. After consuming it, you will receive quests specific to that Demon Art.
Complete the required quest to unlock the base version of the Demon Art. You can then continue progressing with that Demon Art to unlock and develop its full moveset.
