According to her LinkedIn profile, Hodges is a journalist based in California and has been a sports anchor/reporter for CBS Sacramento since 2018.

A former California State University student, Hodges earned her BA in Communication and Broadcast Journalism before pursuing a career in sports journalism. She has also covered sports news for teams in the San Francisco region while working as a journalist for KGO-TV.
Hodges has amassed a following of 12,500 on Instagram and is likely to gain even more attention after being identified as one of the reporters involved in the leaked audio about Simmons and LaVine.
KingShowYo shared a clip highlighting Hodges’ discussion with other journalists, which was captured on a hot mic.

In the clip, Hodges appeared to call Simmons “cringe” before labeling LaVine as annoying.
“Ben Simmons is cringe, cringe, he’s lucky he’s fine,” Hodges said. “Zach LaVine is cute, but his personality f***ing annoys me. It just seems like he’s a pr*ck.”
Neither the Kings, Hodges, nor the broadcasting companies have publicly addressed the matter. It remains to be seen what consequences, if any, the journalist will face following the leak.

Former NBA player Royce White was among those reacting, sharing a one-word response on X.
“Misandry,” he wrote via X (formerly Twitter).
White, who recently made headlines alongside Enes Kanter Freedom after declaring their intention to enter the 2027 WNBA Draft, took the opportunity to take a shot at Hodges, suggesting her comments were prejudiced against men.
