Backstage controversy in WWE over the choice to air Worlds Collide in opposition to PAC tribute present

There is reportedly a backstage controversy in WWE over the decision to air Worlds Collide tomorrow night on YouTube. The show is currently scheduled to be posted an hour before this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

All Elite Wrestling is planning to have a tribute show about PAC (Ben Satterly), formerly known as Neville in WWE, following his tragic passing over the weekend. PAC competed at AEW All Out on Saturday night and was found deceased the following day in a rental car in the parking lot of a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois. The beloved star was only 40 years old at the time of his passing. According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, nobody besides the higher-ups in the company wants the show to be aired against AEW’s tribute show for PAC tomorrow night.

The popular star came up short against AEW National Champion Andrade El Idolo in his final professional wrestling match at All Out 2026. The veteran was known as Neville during his time in WWE and captured the Cruiserweight Championship twice during his tenure with the company.

He was the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion and was also part of a popular group known as Death Triangle alongside Penta and Rey Fenix. The Man That Gravity Forgot was in The Death Riders faction in AEW alongside Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, Daniel Garcia, and Gabe Kidd for the past two years before his passing.

Wrestling icon The Rock shared a heartfelt tribute to PAC following his passing and also spoke highly about All Elite Wrestling during his video.

The Final Boss shared a video today on social media and expressed his condolences to the Satterly family following their loss.

“Hurts my heart, and sending my condolences, love, light and mana to the Satterly family. Despite pro wrestling being globally popular, it’s energy is still that of very unique subculture and breed of passionate performers who support each other because we all know the daily hardships and the nightly pressures of chasing squared circle dreams. Stay strong, Satterley family,” he wrote.

Only time will tell if WWE decides to change the start time of Worlds Collide tomorrow night.
