Big Win For AEW Star Rebel; Former WWE Champion Reacts

AEW star Rebel recently received hugely positive news, and a former WWE Champion has now reacted to the development.

In May 2026, popular AEW star Rebel was diagnosed with terminal amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) after months of health issues. The degenerative disease adversely affects her nerve cells and has left her partially paralyzed. Despite her challenges, the 48-year-old never lost her will to fight the disease. She became the brand ambassador for I AM ALS, an organization that aims to spread awareness of the disease. Recently, a major breakthrough was achieved in achieving that goal, which was even appreciated by former WWE NXT champion Killer Kross (Karrion Kross)

The United States Congress recently passed the Act for ALS bill, which Rebel and her organization had long advocated for. This was a major win for Rebel, and Kross acknowledged it with a heartfelt post on X, thanking the 48-year-old for her efforts to make it happen.

“This is the good news I severely needed today. Thank you to everyone who supported this and congratulations to @RebelTanea who has been relentlessly fighting to make this happen. Everyone’s unified support on this made the difference,” Kross posted on X.

Karrion Kross reveals whether he will join AEW

A few months ago, Killer Kross appeared on the Ariel Helwani show, where the host asked whether he had any contact with AEW. Kross, who left WWE in October 2025, said that although conversations have taken place, he wants to keep them private out of respect for Tony Khan. He also noted that the door to a potential collaboration will remain open.

“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Tony [Khan], and he knows that. I prefer to keep those conversations private out of respect for Tony and myself. I think it’s [the door] always been open.”- H/T WrestlePurists on X

As of today, Kross is thriving in Major League Wrestling (MLW) as the reigning MLW World Heavyweight Champion. That said, the Herald of Doomsday’s caliber suggests he belongs on a bigger stage to showcase his talents. Only time will tell whether AEW will be that next stage for him.
