WWE has released exclusive backstage footage from the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown featuring RAW stars Je’Von Evans and Penta. The video opens with Nick Aldis hearing the RAW stars Trick Williams, likely arguing over something. Nick approached the group and announced that next week’s go-home episode will feature six superstars, including them.
Aldis said he was thrilled to have Evans and Penta and handed them an invitation for next week. He added that all the other Men’s Money in the Bank participants, including CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Bron Breakker, and Trick Williams, would also be on next week’s show.
Thanks for the submission!
“Gentlemen, first of all, very nice, pleasant surprise to see you both here on SmackDown tonight. In fact, it was so nice that I just got off the phone with our mutual friend, Adam Pearce, and you two are gonna be back here on SmackDown next week as my formally invited guests; in fact, every single participant of both the Men’s and Women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches will be in attendance next week on SmackDown because I thought it will be so fun to have everybody under one roof 24 hours before a match that has the potential to change the trajectory of their entire careers. One more thing: don’t forget your boots,” said Nick Aldis.
Not just the men, but women MITB participants from the RAW side, namely Roxanne Perez, Lola Vice, and Sol Ruca, are invited as well. Needless to say, the Friday Night show stars will also be there. Aldis, while concluding, hinted that the invitation isn’t just to attend the show or a segment, but that they’ll likely see them in ring competition as well.
Who qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder matches tonight on SmackDown?
On the men’s side, Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Johnny Gargano battled in a triple threat match. Owens won the match, and Randy Orton’s interference to keep Cody from winning played a vital role. From the SmackDown side, CM Punk, Owens, and Trick Williams are the three stars in the Men’s MITB ladder match.
On the women’s side, Tiffany Stratton, Tatum Paxley, and Candice LeRae battled in a triple threat match. Stratton hit a picture-perfect Prettiest Moonsault Ever on both Candice and Tatum in one go and pinned the former for the win. From the blue brand, Stratton, Jacy Jayne, and Lash Legend are the three stars in the Women’s MITB ladder match.
