Paper Rex vs LOUD in Valorant Champions 2026 Playoffs: Who’s expected to win?

Prediction

We’re down to our final eight. #VALORANTChampions

Paper Rex secured two back-to-back 2-1 series against Team Liquid and G2 to book a berth in the VCT Playoffs. While the matches went neck-and-neck, and PRX had to come back from a 0-1 deficit both times, the APAC third seed showed brilliant resilience to top the group.

PRX has played four different maps so far: Split, Haven, Lotus, and Ascent. Interestingly, ‘something’ has picked up Yoru in every match, which is a bit unorthodox to see. Regardless, it has worked out, and his synergy with Jinggg’s Raze and Phoenix outclassed the opponents, mainly because of the unpredictable approaches.

A daily investment of RM10 that paid off. Hope to see mama @d4v41vlr at #VALORANTChampions Shanghai!

These two teams’ playstyles may feel similar, but their approach to most rounds differs. LOUD has a pretty aggressive playstyle, with individual brilliance that their game plan methodically supports. Paper Rex’s playstyle feels like a loose cannon. The aggression rarely feels controlled, and players like Jinggg or something sometimes extend far beyond what’s needed.

All in all, if PRX reaches the flow state where everything seems to go their way, they are one of the most difficult teams to deal with. Whether LOUD can break the momentum is the real question. Nevertheless, lukxo is the one to watch from LOUD. His Chamber positioning and mechanics can counter PRX’s aggression. He also has the third-highest overall rating thus far in this event, so it will be interesting to see how he performs in a high-stakes situation.

Prediction: PRX 2 – 1 LOUD

Head-to-head

These two teams have played each other twice previously (Champions 2023 and VCT 2024 Masters Madrid), and PRX won both times.
