Cameron Brink Drops 3-Word Reaction To Steph Curry’s Mother Sonya Curry Remarrying Years After Split From Dell Curry

LA Sparks star Cameron Brink left a three-word comment on Sonya Curry’s Instagram post. The mother of Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry just remarried, and wedding photos were posted on social media.

Sonya was married to former NBA player Dell Curry, and they were together for 33 years. They had three children together, including NBA journeyman Seth Curry and Sydel Curry. However, the two divorced in 2021 after Sonya cited Dell’s “marital misconduct.”

On Instagram, luxury wedding planner Kristi Lee posted photos of Sonya’s wedding to her new husband. She has not revealed the identity of her second husband.

“When @sacurry22 gives you just two months to plan her special day, on one of the busiest and hottest weekends of the year in Scottsdale, you know it’s going to be no small feat. But every challenge was worth it to celebrate a love as beautiful and inspiring as theirs!” Lee posted.

WNBA star Cameron Brink, a family friend of the Currys, had a three-word reaction to the post.

“Truly so beautiful ❤️❤️” she commented.

Sonya Curry has moved on with her new husband, following the high-profile divorce from Dell. Dell, the former Charlotte Hornets star, was the first to remarry. In 2023, he had a low-profile wedding ceremony with his new wife, Nicki Smith.

Cameron Brink Spoke About the Curry Family’s Influence in Her Basketball Pursuit

Cameron Brink never wanted to play basketball. That was what she told NBA star Paul George when she appeared as a guest on “Podcast P” in 2024. Early on, she was exposed to basketball because she was around Steph and Seth, who wanted to follow in their father’s footsteps.

“I just always kind of wanted to be a black sheep. Like, I just wanted to be different from my family,” she said. “I grew up with the Currys because my mom was roommates with Sonya Curry, my godmother.

“So Stephen, Seth, and Sydel were huge parts of my life. So, of course, I always grew up around basketball. I was like, ‘No, I don’t want to be like I want to be different. I want to be artistic.’”

Brink added that Sonya ultimately pushed her to pursue basketball. It helped her carve out an athletic career, and she is now an important part of the Sparks.

Cameron Brink just finished the third season of her career, averaging 9.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 31 games. Unfortunately for the Sparks, they have yet to make the postseason since drafting Brink in 2024.
