Rey Mysterio makes his decide of WWE Money within the Bank winner simply earlier than the present

WWE Money in the Bank is just a few minutes away, and Rey Mysterio has finally expressed his thoughts on who would be winning the MITB contract this year.

The Men’s Money in the Bank match will have Kevin Owens, CM Punk, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, Penta and Bron Breakker vying for the prize. Considering the success rate currently of MITB cash ins is 77%, the winner is likely to earn a belt down the line within a year. As such, this opportunity is not something any of the participants plan to let slip through their fingers.

In the pre-show leading up the PLE, Rey Mysterio appeared in a panel, joining Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Big E. When asked about his predictions for the Men’s match, the legendary luchador picked Penta as the winner.

Rey Mysterio has deep respect for Penta, who is one of the fastest rising stars in WWE right now. He has already been the Intercontinenal Championship once, and now he has the chance to win the biggest title in the company if he picks up the win at Money in the Bank.

A WWE veteran recently praised Penta

According to Nattie, Penta is already at the next level in WWE.

Speaking on Busted Open, Nattie noted that Penta’s match with Roman Reigns on RAW proved that the luchador can perform at the highest level. She said:

“I think Monday with Roman [Reigns], in Mexico City, I think it was exactly what Penta needed to go to that next level. I was talking about this with TJ [Wilson]… but Penta is not just some overnight sensation. I’m sure he started when he was a teenager. He’s in his early 40s now. He’s been wrestling for I would guess maybe two decades. This is not an overnight success story, but everything he’s ever been working for really led to Monday night. It was all leading to Monday night. That performance against Roman showed that Penta is, to me, a top star in WWE that not only could hang with Roman. I, watching as a viewer, thought that Penta was going to win that championship.”

Whether Penta does win the MITB contract at the PLE, remains to be seen.
