Josh Jacobs is set to return to the Green Bay Packers after the NFL announced that it would remove the running back from the Commissioner Exempt List on October 19. The decision makes him eligible to resume practicing and playing after missing the team’s first six games of the season.
The move drew a strong response from former NFL defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko, who expressed his frustration with the league during Friday’s edition of the “Fehoko Show.”
Thanks for the submission!
“The NFL is a joke, a total joke,” Fehoko said. “And every single teammate in that locker room who has a sister, a significant other, a mom, an aunt, or a grandmother — every teammate of Josh Jacobs — should look at him with disgust.

“If I was his teammate, I’d tell him to f**k off. I’d tell him to his face, ‘You’re a f**ing piece of s**t. Because I don’t respect men who put their hands on women any type of way. I don’t care if it was a soft push, a love tap, you never put your hands on a female. Coward.”

NFL analyst Tony Farmer shared a similar sentiment, criticizing what he sees as inconsistency between the NFL’s public stance on supporting women and its handling of players accused of violence against them.
“Strong take here… Why does the NFL pretend to support women while being soft on players who are violent toward them?” Farmer said while quoting Fehoko’s original post.
The case against Jacobs dates back to his May arrest over an alleged altercation with his then-girlfriend in Wisconsin. Months later, on September 10, he entered a no-contest plea to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property charges.
Jacobs was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs for the battery charge, while the property-damage charge was addressed through a deferred judgment agreement.
However, the legal proceedings have continued to develop. On Thursday, Jacobs filed a lawsuit seeking to prevent certain evidence, including surveillance footage recorded in his garage, from being made public.
Packers prepare for Josh Jacobs’ return after six-game absence
Josh Jacobs is preparing to rejoin the Green Bay Packers after his six-game absence, even as the NFL’s investigation into the running back continues under its personal conduct policy. The league’s decision to remove him from the Commissioner Exempt List does not bring that investigation to an end.
Jacobs can resume practicing with the team next week and is eligible to play when Green Bay faces the Detroit Lions in Week 7.
The Packers will be hoping his return can address their disappointing production on the ground. They currently average just 60.4 rushing yards per game, the lowest mark in the NFL. The Houston Texans rank just above them with 79.0 yards per game, leaving Green Bay more than 15 yards behind the league’s second-worst rushing team.
