Jon Moxley fought a highly gruesome AEW title match and was left totally covered in blood.
At AEW WrestleDream 2026, Jon Moxley defended his Continental Championship against Mark Davis in a singles match. Both men tried to establish dominance, and it was off to a spectacular start. As the action went outside the ring, Moxley’s face was covered with his own blood, and his left eye was blinded. Davis continued the attack and then rolled him into the ring. As they returned to the ring, Davis tried to choke the Death Riders’ leader, but he kept coming back after each attack.
However, the Don Callis Family member pushed him into the ring corner and bit his head, something Moxley is famous for doing. After that moment, the former AEW World Champion regained his composure as Davis went outside the ring. He delivered a suicide dive on him and pushed him back into the ring. Moxley then returned the favor by biting off Davis’ head, then delivered a series of clotheslines, but he didn’t go down. So, Moxley delivered the cutter and locked in an armbar. The Dunzilla escaped the hold and then gained the upper hand on the Purveyor of Violence.
He attempted multiple pinfalls, but came up short, as Moxley still had the fight left despite being busted open. However, this agitated Davis enough that he delivered a Piledriver to Moxley on the ring apron. The Don Callis Family member tried to win by count-out, but Moxley beat the count at the last second. The former WWE Champion seemed ready to give up, but Marina Shafir and Daniel Garcia motivated him, and he returned to the ring and took down Davis.
The hard-hitting battle continued until the final moments, when Moxley trapped him in a sleeper hold. Davis struggled for a long time, but ultimately passed out, and Moxley won the match, thereby retaining the AEW Continental title.
