Edmonton Oilers stars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl fully committed to the theme at the team’s Halloween gathering, and their wives joined in on the fun as well.

McDavid went as Colonel Sanders, complete with the white suit, glasses, and signature mustache and goatee while holding a KFC bucket. His wife, Lauren Kyle, dressed as a chicken beside him.

She shared the photo on her Instagram story with the caption:

“Chicken anyone? @mcdavid97.”

Draisaitl appeared as Marv from Home Alone, sporting the curly wig, fake forehead mark, and classic burglar look. His wife, Celeste, was also part of the group photos, dressed in a matching costume with feathers and a flashlight.

One of Lauren’s stories featured the playful caption:

“Why the h*ll are you dressed like a chicken Harry,”

While Celeste’s caption read:

“Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal.”

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl’s light-hearted posts quickly circulated among fans online as the Oilers stars and their wives showed a joyous side away from the rink.

Connor McDavid on pace for first 200-point campaign

Connor McDavid is off to one of the most dominant starts of his career with the Edmonton Oilers. Through eight games, McDavid has already recorded 23 points (6 goals and 17 assists), putting him on a staggering full-season pace well above the 200-point mark.

At his current rate, McDavid is projected for roughly 235 to 241 points over an 84-game season. The NHL hasn’t witnessed such numbers since the eras of Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux.

“I care more about how the game looks overall, and how it feels out there,” the Edmonton Oilers captain said Monday. “It’s been good at times, and there’s been times where I feel like I can do more and everyone can do more. That’s more important.”

He added:

“I think the team’s just playing well. Anytime the team plays well, you’re going to have guys have success, and I think you’re seeing that kind of throughout. It’s not necessarily on the stat sheet for everybody, but everybody is playing really well, doing things detailed, structured, playing hard, a lot of really good things.”

Connor McDavid has accumulated at least one point in every game so far and has already produced multiple big multi-point nights, including a pair of five-point performances. The possibility of a historic campaign is once again on the table in Edmonton.
