Aspect Sports is expanding its presence in Indian sport by bringing teams, athletes and their fans into a wider sporting ecosystem. Its appointment of Aman Sehrawat, India’s youngest individual Olympic medallist and a gold medallist at the recently concluded Asian Games, as its first brand ambassador marks another step in that direction.
The multi-year deal builds on a relationship that began with Tiigers of Mumbai Dangal, Aspect Sports’ franchise in the Pro Wrestling League. Sehrawat has represented the team as a marquee wrestler and captain. He will now represent the organisation more broadly as he works towards his ambition of competing at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
The appointment connects Aspect Sports’ involvement in league competition with an athlete’s international career. For fans who have followed Sehrawat through its wrestling franchise, it also offers a continuing connection with him as he takes on a wider role within the organisation.
Aman Sehrawat brings Olympic and Asian Games success to the partnership
Sehrawat’s appointment brings an accomplished Indian athlete into the centre of Aspect Sports’ growing presence. His latest achievement came at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, where he won gold in the men’s 57kg freestyle wrestling category. He defeated North Korea’s Han Chong Song 11-7 in the final, improving on his bronze at the previous edition in Hangzhou.
That result followed his historic Olympic debut at Paris 2024. Sehrawat beat Puerto Rico’s Darian Cruz 13-5 in the bronze-medal bout to become India’s youngest individual Olympic medallist at 21. He had already won gold at the U23 World Championships in 2022 and the senior Asian Wrestling Championships in 2023.
His journey gives the partnership a sporting story that fans can follow beyond a league season. Having already captained an Aspect Sports franchise, Sehrawat enters the ambassador role with an established connection to the organisation. The multi-year association takes that relationship forward through the next phase of his career.
Aspect Sports adds Navi Mumbai T20 franchise to its growing portfolio, building connections across teams, fans and athletes
Aspect Sports recently won the bid for the Navi Mumbai franchise in the T20 Mumbai League, further strengthening its cricket portfolio. The Mumbai Cricket Association awarded it the operating rights for six years, with the new franchise becoming the competition’s ninth team.
The organisation also owns Tiigers of Kolkata in the Indian Street Premier League, Tiigers of Mumbai Dangal in the Pro Wrestling League and Varanasi Mahadev Ascenders in the Pro Govinda League. These properties give it a presence across different sporting formats, each with its own athletes, team identities and communities of supporters.
Together, the franchises and Sehrawat’s appointment point towards a more connected approach to sport. Teams provide a platform for competition and a shared identity for supporters, while athlete partnerships allow those connections to continue beyond individual tournaments. For Aspect Sports, bringing these elements together is part of its stated ambition to build a broader sporting ecosystem.
Sehrawat’s move from franchise captain to brand ambassador puts that approach into practice. As Aspect Sports adds new teams and strengthens its athlete relationships, it is building more ways for fans to connect with the people and performances they follow.
