Micah Parsons might not be currently playing, but he remains one of his team’s biggest advocates.
On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers lost 17-20 on the road against the Detroit Lions after Jake Bates hit a 22-yard field goal as time expired. The game was marked by numerous alleged bad calls throughout, four of which went against the visitors.
Thanks for the submission!
One of those calls was a roughing the passer penalty on defensive tackle Karl Brooks, and Tom Brady voiced his disagreement with it during Fox’s broadcast. Parsons concurred with him:

“@NFL, @NFLOfficiating, let’s just go to flag football if every time a QB gets touched it’s roughing the passer!”

Another disputed call against the Packers involved a defensive tackle as well, as Devonte Wyatt was hit with unnecessary roughness after tackling Lions wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown. Head coach Matt LaFleur was asked about it during his post-game press conference, and he said:
“There was no whistle blown, and the guy continued to run, and our guy didn’t hear a whistle and continued playing too. I don’t know. They were trying to tell me the play was obviously dead, but I’m like, how do you know if you don’t hear a whistle? I don’t know about you guys, but I didn’t hear a whistle.”
Packers LB Zaire Franklin had an encouraging update on Micah Parsons’ return
Speaking of the defensive line, it has been crying out for Micah Parsons‘s return.
The latest prognostications foresee the multiple-time All-Pro and Pro Bowler not returning until at least a few more weeks, and it is not something a franchise that finds itself now sitting in last place in the hypercompetitive NFC North wants to hear.
But speaking to The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman last week, linebacker and teammate Zaire Franklin had some positive words to share about how Parsons has progressed in his recovery from his ACL tear:
“I can’t wait to see 1 back. I snuck and watched him work out the other day. I ain’t gonna lie. … He looked good to me.”
The Packers will now return to Wisconsin to host the Carolina Panthers this Thursday. That game kicks off at 7:15 p.m. CT on Amazon Prime Video.
