It was a solid Sunday for me in the NFL with a sweat-free cash on Sunday Night Football between the Chiefs and Seahawks. It was potentially one of the most boring games I’ve ever watched, but it still was an easy cash. That’s more important to me than watching a fun game anyway. Tonight we have Monday Night Football as the Cowboys take on the Eagles.
My victory lap will stop here because I have been dead wrong about the Dallas Cowboys. They were the team I expected to win this division, and I thought Dak Prescott would be the league’s MVP. That doesn’t seem to be the case, as the Cowboys are just 2-4 for the season, and they are 1-2 on the road this year.
They’ve suffered some embarrassing losses this season, and need to turn it around quickly if they want to assure themselves of a spot in the postseason.

The Cowboys have lost the past two games and three of their past four games. They dropped in an almost improbable fashion to the Ravens a few weeks ago. They found a way to beat the Texans on the road, and that was a bit of a shootout – their preferred style of play. They hosted the Buccaneers with a backup quarterback and got nothing going, losing 24-16. Then they lost to the Packers 23-13 last week. It wasn’t a shootout; it wasn’t a well-played game.
The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl two years ago, and while you can’t really go higher in success, it has been a steep drop since. Last year, the team had issues with their receiver A.J. Brown. Even Saquon Barkley struggled most of the year. It was a disjointed year, but the team still found a way to make the postseason. They lost immediately, and their quest for a repeat was put to an end. In the offseason, they traded away Brown and added some receivers, but it hasn’t translated to much more success for the team.

This year has been a disaster for the team both on the field and off. Jalen Hurts, their star quarterback, was playing with a blood clot, and apparently the team knew about it and let him play (or worse, encouraged him). Looking at the Eagles’ team leaders, Hurts is on the IR, likely out for the season; Barkley is questionable for the game and has just 182 rushing yards on 36 carries this year; DeVonta Smith is out for the game; and Nolan Smith Jr., their sack leader, is also out for the game.

I’m not really sure where the Eagles will get any type of offense from in this game. Essentially, they are starting a second-string team against the Cowboys, who need a win. Philadelphia is also 2-4 and needs a win, but I think this is way too much to ask of them. Philadelphia is too banged up, and this is a rivalry game.
No game is easy to win in the NFL, but the Cowboys should be licking their chops, looking to get on the field and tear up the Eagles. Give me the Cowboys -4.5 on the road. I think they win this by 10 points or more.
