Trabzonspor host Gaziantep at the Papara Park on Sunday for their clash in the Turkish Super Lig, aiming to continue their hot winning run. The Black Sea Storm have won their last six games in a row in all competitions, including a pulsating seven-goal thriller away to Rizespor last weekend.

Thomas Reis’ side fell 2-0 behind in the first half, but Trabzonspor responded with three goals inside the first 15 minutes of the second period to go in front.

Qazim Laci then restored parity for Rizespor with a third goal in the 69th minute, but Franculino Dju won it for the away side only seven minutes from stoppage time.

With 19 points in the bag from nine games, Mohamed Salah and co. are in third place in the Super Lig table, trailing leaders Galatasaray by six points.

Salah’s blistering attacking exploits have added a new dimension to Trabzonspor’s offensive vanguard as the Egyptian currently leads the goalscoring charts in the competition with eight goals. He’s also teed up another three.

Gaziantep are languishing in 14th place with a meager eight points from nine games and come into the fixture on the back of a four-game losing run in the Super Lig.

But in some consolation for the Falcons, they beat Ankara minnows Etimesgut 4-0 in the third round of the Turkish Cup to ease some pressure off themselves with a first in six competitive games.
