“Made of paper” “Most fragile player”: NFL followers mock Lamar Jackson for getting injured on opening drive vs. Bills

Lamar Jackson’s return to the gridiron lasted just one play. The two-time MVP exited action after suffering a hand injury in his team’s Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills.

According to NBC Sports, Jackson dropped back to pass on the Ravens’ first offensive play of the game and promptly headed for the sideline after hitting his hand on Bills linebacker Greg Rousseau. NFL fans reacted on X.

A fan said, “Made of paper.”

Another added, “He broke his thumb. Clear as day. He’s done for the year I think.”

One wrote, “he might be washed.”

Another said, “Most fragile player in the league.”

One chipped in, writing, “cursed season.”

Another wrote, “Maybe he just has to go to the bathroom?”

The report adds that the injury was to Jackson’s throwing hand. A trainer covered the dual-threat quarterback’s hand, and he was taken to the locker room.

It’s the latest setback for the superstar quarterback. He has already missed three games this season, and it looks like he’s set for another spell on the sidelines.

Tyler Huntley steps in for Lamar Jackson

Tyler Huntley replaced the injured Lamar Jackson after his hand injury. Huntley has been active this season because of Jackson’s injury issues.

The career backup has thrown for 727 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception in four games this season. Huntley and the Ravens will look to avoid their third straight loss. However, they’ll need to do so without their superstar signal-caller.
