CM Punk appeared at NXT Halloween Havoc and laid out the challenge to Grayson Waller for his title. The match was made official, and it took place tonight in the main event. The self-proclaimed Best in the World was in utter shock as one of his bitter rivals cost him the match and the NXT Title.

This marks the first time the Second City Saint has challenged for the NXT championship. It seemed like it was a pretty evenly matched contest. At one point, as Punk was setting up for the Go To Sleep, Kevin Owens showed up and attempted to enter the ring, but was pulled back by security. CM Punk was distracted by the Prizefighter. Grayson Waller capitalized on the distraction and rolled up Punk to pick up the win.

Grayson Waller then swiftly rolled out the ring and celebrated his win. He also called himself the ‘real Best in the World.’

CM Punk was devastated by the loss. But he will be wrestling Kevin Owens this Friday night on SmackDown in a No Holds Barred match.

It is to be noted that the match was already taped this past Monday, as wrestlers are set to travel to Saudi Arabia for the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event.
