David Zucker‘s not enthusiastic about “The Naked Gun” remake … saying he isn’t concerned with the undertaking, and he is anxious the staff behind it does not understand how tough the spoof is.

We spoke with Zucker — director of well-known traditional comedies like ‘Bare Gun’ and “Airplane!” — in regards to the Paramount+ remake starring Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson … and, he says he does not understand how it’ll end up ‘trigger nobody’s reaching out to him.
Zucker says he and his companions, Pat Proft and Mike McManus submitted a script to Paramount again in 2018 … and says they thought the studio favored the idea.
So, he says it got here as a little bit of a shock after they handed the franchise to a very totally different set of creatives … who he says have not even reached out for recommendation or a potential cameo.
As for the way they will deal with the fabric … DZ says any such spoof is not rocket science, but it surely positive ain’t simple — including he typically says, “Don’t try this at home” in terms of this model.
And, David says he isn’t satisfied a remake’s essential — ‘trigger youthful generations are already discovering films like ‘Bare Gun,’ “Airplane!”, “Top Secret!” and extra on their very own.
