A.J. Brown makes stance clear on Eagles future amid heavy commerce rumors for $96,000,000 WR

A.J. Brown is preparing for his eighth season in the NFL. The perennial Pro Bowler signed a three-year deal worth $96,000,000 in 2024, and he is Jalen Hurts’ primary target on the Philadelphia Eagles. He’s looking to add to his accolades in Year nine.

A.J. Brown appeared on The Edge with Micah Parsons, and he made his stance on his future in Philly clear.

“When I got to Philly, Philly welcomed me with open arms. You know, that’s home, and I love them. I love the support. I love the accountability. I love everything else that they do. But Philly is Philly.

“As an offense, we need to come back and watch the tape and rediscover ourselves and go to work each and every day. Being accountable and taking it one day at a time.” Brown told Micah Parsons ahead of Super Bowl LX.

Parsons asked Brown about his mood following the coaching reshuffle in Philadelphia. The Eagles are welcoming a new offensive coordinator, offensive line coach and more following a wild-card round loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

“Of course. I’m always excited. Sometimes change is not a bad thing. I have the utmost respect for Kevin Patullo (former offensive coordinator). To me, he did a tremendous job, and he has a great heart. But I’m excited for the season. I’m excited for what’s to come.” Brown replied.

The Eagles fired Patullo after less than a year as the offensive coordinator. He has been replaced by Sean Mannion for the upcoming campaign. Long-time offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland recently announced his retirement. It marks the end of a 13-year stint with the two-time Super Bowl champions.

The Eagles are set for a retooling this offseason, with contracts expiring, veterans considering retirement, and potential draft picks joining. A.J. Brown’s future remains anyone’s guess.

A.J. Brown and the Eagles had a forgettable 2025 season

A.J. Brown entered the 2025 season fresh off his third second-team All-Pro selection. The veteran wideout was a key part of the Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX win.

However, the 2025 season left a lot to be desired for Brown and his teammates. The three-time Pro Bowler finished the season with a stat line of 78 catches, 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. His 1,003 receiving yards were the fewest amassed since he joined the Eagles.

The Eagles lost six games in the regular season. They did top the NFC East, but we’re promptly eliminated by the San Francisco 49ers in the wild-card round.

They’ll hope to keep their star wide receiver and stave off trade rumors in the offseason. The franchise is looking to make a Super Bowl push in 2026.
