“Absolutely not” – Becky Lynch modified a serious element in Seth Rollins’ character at WWE SummerSlam

Becky Lynch apparently had a hand in changing a key detail when Seth Rollins appeared in last year’s WWE SummerSlam.

The Visionary pulled off another heist last year at SummerSlam, cashing in his Money in the Bank contract to take the World Heavyweight Championship from CM Punk. The segment was unexpected, considering that Rollins was not even in his in-ring gear.

Speaking about the decision to not have Rollins wearing his gear, Becky Lynch stated on The Rich Eisen Show that this was her idea. She said:

“I was a staunch believer that you shouldn’t be in your gear. They wanted you in your gear and I was like, ‘He can’t be in his gear.’ The initial was, ‘Oh, you’re coming out because you’re cashing-in, you know. You have to be in your gear because it’s gonna be a match.’ And she was like, ‘Absolutely not. If you’re in your gear, then they know. It’s a dead giveaway. Don’t do it.’ I didn’t know. Always listen to The Man.”

Becky Lynch recently spoke about her absence from WWE

While Becky Lynch is away from action right now, she believes that she needs to return to the active scene soon.

Speaking on Off The Ropes, the veteran WWE star claimed that the company desperately needed her. She said:

“We do need me. Sometimes you gotta let ‘em know. Sometimes you gotta point the torch. You gotta be the lighthouse. You gotta say, okay guys, what did you want? What did you want? Well, here’s the light. Here’s the rest. Here’s what it looks like without me. Do you like it? Do you like it? Is it exciting? Is it fun? No! It’s not! It needs more Becky Lynch, and then you come back and then everybody goes, I knew it. It was her all along,” said Lynch.

For the time being, fans will simply have to wait and see when Big Time Becks will be coming back to WWE.
