Adam Copeland (fka Edge) makes a heartbreaking revelation amid AEW absence 

AEW legend and former champion Adam Copeland has shared a heartbreaking personal revelation regarding an animal companion from his home on social media. The star formerly known as Edge has been missing from the Tony Khan-led promotion for a number of months now.

Adam Copeland has been signed with All Elite Wrestling since his debut at WrestleDream 2023. Last year, he officially reunited with his best-friend-turned-bitter-rival, Christian Cage, to revive their legendary tag team and help each other out with their respective rivalries. The Rated-R Superstar and The Patriarch have not been featured on AEW programming, however, since All Out: Toronto, where they defeated FTR. The post-match ambush The Top Guys carried out on Cope’s wife, Beth, at the PPV led to the veterans going on an extended hiatus.

During his AEW absence, the Hall of Famer has been occupied with his non-wrestling filming commitments. A couple of hours ago, Copeland took to his Instagram profile to share a deeply personal post about his pet dog Haven. In the caption, he detailed some of the horrifying abuses the canine companion in question had suffered earlier, albeit reassuring his followers that the latter’s wounds have been healing with time, pointing to this as a testament to her resilience.

“I sit with our lil Haven every day. We spend time. Relaxing. Peaceful. Gentle. Sometimes though, I get stuck focusing on her scars. It boggles my mind that someone could do this to such a sweet, little soul. It makes me very angry. Our vets think she had acid thrown on her. Was tied up. Possibly never out of a crate according to the story her feet tell. She was 8lbs when Beth flew to San Diego to bring her home. The rope marks are still there. But healing. Her skin is still struggling. She has good skin days and bad ones. But it’s healing. What never changes? Her. Her soul. Her loving soul. The looks of appreciation and love she gives us. The snuggles. Her little grunts. Her toxic farts.”

The former AEW TNT Champion continued:

“She’s one tough cookie that I look to for inspiration in how to handle the hurdles life can sometimes place in your way. She changes my anger to gratefulness because we have her now and she is lavished with love. If you’re looking for a pup, give @roadogs a peek. They do absolutely wonderful work saving these little lemons. I’m gonna go snuggle with Haven in front of the fireplace now.”

With FTR currently reigning as AEW tag team champions, fans are eagerly awaiting the returns of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, considering their unfinished business with Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. While he is still on hiatus, The Ultimate Opportunist was recently seen in an Instagram post, where he appeared to be sporting a new look, wearing a longer beard than he had before.

Cope addressed a number of topics in the video in question, including his comeback from retirement in 2020, his current run, and the prospective end of his in-ring career in the near future.
