Welcome to the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling’s AEW News & Rumor Roundup. Today, we are looking at stories involving top All Elite Wrestling stars, including Jon Moxley and Britt Baker.

A top star has issued a statement after his promotion cut ties with him. Meanwhile, Jon Moxley has been announced for a major appearance outside AEW, and Britt Baker is set for a blockbuster match in the Jacksonville-based promotion. We’ve got exciting news to cover today, so let’s get the roundup started.

#5. Max Caster breaks silence after TNA cuts ties with him

Max Caster has officially broken his silence after TNA Wrestling parted ways with him following his controversial debut at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. The 37-year-old wrestler made his TNA debut in a singles match against Moose. However, Caster’s pre-match entrance rap included offensive remarks, prompting TNA President Carlos Silva and management to immediately sever ties with him and issue an official public statement.

In a detailed video statement posted on Instagram, the ‘best wrestler alive’ thanked Carlos Silva and Moose, acknowledged crossing professional boundaries, and said he understands why TNA management decided to protect the promotion. He also said his entrance raps are intended solely for entertainment and to elicit crowd reactions, not to cause genuine offense. The former Acclaimed member admitted feeling embarrassed by the swift termination but emphasized that he is ready to accept the reality of the situation and move forward.

“Just to address all the TNA stuff. I want to say thank you to Carlos Silva. I talked to him in person. He was very generous, very professional, even after all this stuff happened. And I understand why he did what he did. It’s his show. He’s got to protect TNA…Thank you to Moose for sharing your platform with me…I just want everybody to know that when I do these raps, it’s never to offend people. It’s only to entertain. So in my mind, it’s entertainment value first…I’m just embarrassed by how all this happened. You don’t want it to be one match, and then that’s it, you get fired. But again, that’s the reality of the situation. I’m accepting it. And that’s life,” Caster said.

#4. Jon Moxley set to return to NJPW

Jon Moxley is set to make a major return to NJPW. In an official promotional video released across NJPW’s global social media channels, the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and reigning AEW Continental Champion announced his upcoming return to the Tokyo-based promotion. This announcement follows recent callouts from Shingo Takagi, whom the One True King has defeated in both of their previous singles encounters.

Moxley’s return to NJPW comes at an eventful time for the Death Riders leader, who continues to maintain an active schedule across multiple international promotions. After leaving WWE several years ago, the purveyor of violence built a formidable legacy in NJPW, capturing the IWGP United States Heavyweight Title and the IWGP World Heavyweight Title while earning widespread respect from Japanese wrestling audiences for his hard-hitting, physical style.

#3. Britt Baker set for blockbuster tag match on AEW Dynamite+Collision

AEW has officially announced a major tag team match for Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. The former AEW Women’s World Champion will team up with TBS Champion Persephone on the October 14 joint taping of Dynamite and Collision in Cleveland, Ohio. The duo will face Hyan and British wrestling star Dani Luna, who incidentally will make her official AEW Dynamite in-ring debut.

The booking stems from rivalries established at All Out, when Britt Baker interfered to help Persephone defeat Dani Luna. Since returning to AEW programming at All In: London, Baker has aligned with the CMLL star, providing ringside assistance to keep their alliance dominant in the women’s division. Luna now joins forces with Hyan, who also has a personal vendetta against Persephone and Baker.

#2. Bayley sends a flirty message to Kris Statlander

WWE Superstar Bayley had a lighthearted exchange with AEW stars Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron. After defeating Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue) and Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) on Collision to earn the number-one contendership for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships, Cameron and Statlander posted a celebratory backstage photo on Instagram.

Reacting to the backstage photo, Bayley left a playful comment hinting at her envy of the newly formed tag team dynamic between Statlander and Cameron.

“I’m not a jealous person,” the Role Model wrote.

Kris Statlander then sarcastically replied to the former multi-time WWE Women’s Champion’s comment, writing:

“Right, right. I’m very sure.”

#1. Don Callis says Kyle Fletcher will become the greatest wrestler in history

Don Callis has made a bold claim regarding a member of his Don Callis Family, Kyle Fletcher. On the Poisonrana podcast, the veteran manager praised the former TNT Champion’s rapid evolution, saying his primary goal with the faction has been to prepare the Protostar for what he believes will be a historic career. The Invisible Hand declared that Fletcher is on track to become “the greatest wrestler in the history of the sport.”

“Everything I’ve done wite the Don Callis Family, getting Kyle Fletcher ready for becoming what I believe he’s going to be the greatest wrestler in the history of the sport,” he said. [H/T – Wrestling INC.]

Since aligning with the DCF, Kyle Fletcher has undergone a major character transformation while consistently delivering high-caliber singles and tag team performances. At the recent Grand Slam France edition of Dynamite, Fletcher pushed TNT Champion Darby Allin to the limit in a competitive title match. The Aussie is currently pursuing the AEW World Tag Team Championships alongside Kevin Knight.
