AGF vs SC Braga Prediction and Betting Tips

AGF and Braga are back in action in the UEFA Conference League when they square off at Cepheus Park on Thursday. While Braga will be out to secure back-to-back victories in Europe, the Danish outfit will head into the midweek tie seeking their first win of the campaign.

Having secured consecutive league-and-cup victories over Viborg and FC Roskilde in their previous two outings, AGF saw momentum take a hit last Sunday when they fell to a 2-0 loss against Brondby in their Danish Superliga clash.

The attention now turns to the Conference League, where Jakob Poulsen’s side will be looking to finally get off the mark, having failed to win their opening two matches, collecting just one point from the first six available.

After suffering a narrow 1-0 loss against Belgian outfit Gent in the opening game on October 15, AGF showed signs of promise in matchday two one week later, when they fought back from behind to salvage a 1-1 draw against Egnatia.

Meanwhile, Braga turned in a comprehensive team display in their first Conference League home game a fortnight ago when they secured a 2-0 win over Gent at the Estadio Municipal de Braga.

Head coach Franclim Carvalho will be delighted with his side’s response on the continental scene, particularly after suffering a somewhat disappointing 3-0 defeat against Copenhagen in their opening game on October 15.

Braga head into Thursday’s tie in high spirits after cruising to an emphatic 3-0 victory over Famalicao in the Portuguese Primeira Liga at the weekend, a result which saw their run of two successive defeats come to an end.

AGF vs SC Braga Prediction

AGF have struggled to impose themselves in Europe, and they are in for another tough 90 minutes against an experienced Braga side that represents one of the more challenging opponents in their league-phase schedule.

Braga boast a superior squad on paper, and while we expect the hosts to put up a fight, we are backing Carvalho’s men to secure all three points.

Prediction: AGF 0-2 SC Braga
