AHL’s Hershey Bears to Wear Special Jerseys Marking Back-to-Back Calder Cups – SportsLogos.Net News

The American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears are marking their back-to-back Calder Cup championships with special edition jerseys this weekend.

The Bears unveiled the jerseys on their social media channels on Thursday, October 10, and they’ll wear them for both games of the opening weekend of the 2024-25 AHL regular season.

The special edition jersey has a brown base, with cream and white stripes around the waist and sleeves. The front features the Bears’ back-to-back Calder Cup champions logo, with a growling bear head at the top; a banner through the middle that marks both the back-to-back titles and the Bears’ 13 Calder Cups overall; and a silhouette of the Calder Cup at the bottom. Some of the outlines and details on the championship logo are metallic gold.

White taping runs around the shoulders and under the arms, and the Bears’ primary logo appears to be on each shoulder. The collar is brown with two white stripes at the front. The motto “ALL IN” is printed in white inside the collar. Numbers on the sleeves (and presumably the back) are cream with brown and cream outlines.

The Bears mentioned on social media that the jerseys will be auctioned aff after their game on Sunday, October 13, but didn’t mention which, if any, charity the proceeds would benefit.

Also on Thursday, the Bears gave fans a look at the championship rings given to all the players from the 2023-24 squad. Made by Baron Rings, the rings are chock full of references to the team’s regular season and playoff run, including the motto “REPEAT THE ROAR” engraved on the right shoulder.

These special edition jerseys come hot on the heels of the unveiling of the Bears’ revamped regular jerseys, which happened in September. Those jerseys retained the team’s iconic color palette of chocolate brown, cream and white, but ported it over to a more traditional template.

AHL teams wear dark jerseys at home until the Christmas break, then switch to light jerseys at home until the end of the regular season. They then typically go back to dark jerseys at home for the playoffs.

The Bears host the Cleveland Monsters on Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13, at the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
