AI Predicts BTC Direction After a 17 Day Low at $82,200

Bitcoin’s slide began on Wednesday morning and did not stop for 24 hours. It touched $82,200, the lowest print in over two weeks. The descent was not one event. It was four rejections stacked on top of each other. For now, AI predicts BTC to stabilize above its moving averages despite this leg down, because every level that defines the uptrend is still intact beneath the price.

Total crypto market cap has fallen from $2.920 trillion to $2.810 trillion over 36 hours, roughly $110 billion. The liquidation data explains the speed. CoinGlass logged $406.88 million wiped across 94,733 traders in 24 hours, and $355.21 million of that was long positions against just $51.66 million in shorts.

Bitcoin took $121.90 million of the damage, Ethereum $82.35 million. The single largest order was a $11.82 million BTC/USDT position on Binance. Traders bought each dip in this sequence and were removed at each rejection.

As of today, BTC trades near $83,000. Market cap has fallen to $1.660 trillion, while dominance over altcoins holds flat at 59%.

What Turned a Jobs Report Into a 17 Day Low?

The reaction, not the data. September US labor figures came in weaker than expected. Bitcoin read that as dovish and jumped straight to $87,250. That was the high of the week, and it lasted hours.

What followed was a $3,000 collapse that carried the price below $84,000. The move punished everyone who bought the initial spike. Bulls regrouped. BTC reclaimed $84,000 on Saturday and pushed toward $87,000 again on Sunday evening and Monday morning.

The same rejection was repeated. Price dipped to $85,000, rebounded to $86,700, then met sellers a third time. That third refusal did the real damage. Bitcoin dropped $2,000 in 20 minutes. The bounce stalled at $84,300, well below the previous rebound, and the slide continued to $82,200 on Thursday.

Each recovery high came in lower than the last. That pattern describes the supply sitting at $87,000 rather than buyers disappearing.

AI Predicts BTC Levels: Where Does the Descent Stop?

BTCUSDT Chart 1D

The daily chart has not broken, which is the argument against panic. Bitcoin has reclaimed both its 50-day and 200-day EMAs in September and still trades above them. The 50-day sits at $79,687, the 200-day at $75,239, and the faster average remains above the slower one.

AI predicts BTC price will be decided at these levels:

  • The shelf: $80,660. Roughly 2% below spot, and the support that held through late September. First real test of this slide.
  • The structural floor: $79,687. The 50-day EMA. Losing it ends the uptrend argument and exposes $75,239.
  • The ceiling: $87,145. Rejected three times in five sessions. A daily close above it ends the lower highs sequence.

Watch $80,660 first. A hold there with the EMAs underneath keeps this a correction inside an uptrend. A break turns the Wednesday slide into something structural, with little support until the 50-day average.

Above, nothing changes until $87,000 stops rejecting. Three failures at one level is a seller with size, and until that supply clears, rallies into it remain fades.
