Amanda Anisimova parts way with coach Rick Vleeshouwers

Amanda Anisimova has had a slow start to her 2026 season, making early exits at several tournaments including the Qatar Open, Indian Wells and the Miami Open. In light of these lukewarm results, the American has parted ways with coach Rick Vleeshouwers.
Anisimova and Vleeshouwers began their partnership in late 2024 and the duo experienced immense success together, with the Dutch coach leading the 24-year-old to two Grand Slam finals and two WTA 1000 trophies.
Announcing the news of their split, Anisimova wrote on Instagram,
“It’s been quite the ride and journey together. Last year holds so many special moments and achievements together that I will never forget! Thank you Rick, thank you for everything you’ve done for me. For seeing and treating me as a human first, before an athlete. That meant the world to me, and made for a great partnership. I wish you nothing but happiness and success in whatever comes next for you in this chapter!”
On the tennis end of things, Amanda Anisimova recently withdrew from the Charleston Open that was scheduled to take place between March 30 and April 5, citing an injury she picked up in Miami. It remains to be seen when she decides to return to action.
