Andrade makes an enormous announcement on his future; however not in AEW!

AEW star Andrade El Idolo has been on a stellar run. He is now scheduled to make a major appearance outside the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Ever since he showed up at AEW, El Idolo has made it clear that he wants the World Championship. During his current stint, he has competed against some of the biggest names on the roster and even found some huge allies for himself in the Don Callis family. The star has managed to keep himself in the upper card and is a formidable competitor for the World Championship. His championship aspirations took a dent after he lost to Hangman Page at Grand Slam: Australia. However, constant run-ins with MJF have kept him as a very credible threat to the champion.

This week, El Idolo appeared on an Instagram video to announce that he will be in Poughkeepsie, New York, on May 16 for Awesome Championship Wrestling’s Reckoning event. This will mark a major appearance for El Idolo in the promotion. The star mentioned that he is one of the best wrestlers on the planet currently, and was interested to see who would step up to the challenge of facing him at Reckoning.

Andrade will be in action at Revolution 2026

While an appearance at Awesome Championship Wrestling may be on the horizon, Andrade needs to deal with a very real threat at Revolution.

The former WWE star will be in action against ROH World Champion Bandido at the event this Sunday. The match was made official after El Idolo defeated Tomohiro Ishii, leading to the current ROH champion walking out and confronting him.

Even AEW President Tony Khan has admitted that El Idolo is in the best run of his life, and it will be interesting to see if the star can walk out with a win at Revolution.
