Angry Becky Lynch provides new nickname to 35-year-old WWE star

An angry Becky Lynch has come up with a new nickname for a 35-year-old WWE star. The Man has had a difficult last couple of months in the promotion. She lost her Intercontinental championship to Maxxine Dupri and was made to submit in the Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series by AJ Lee.

Still, this doesn’t take away from an otherwise solid year for the former RAW Women’s Champion. A few months ago, she was also named as the greatest women’s wrestler in WWE history by Bleacher Report.

While Lynch has been touting his accolade, she was left furious after Uncrowned named IYO SKY as the “2025 Female Wrestler of the Year.” The list features Mercedes Mone, Toni Storm, and Stephanie Vaquer in the top four, with Lynch finding herself at number five.

As such, she took to X (Twitter) to express her displeasure. She brought up SKY, calling her “ICKY IYO.”

“AWFUL ARIEL CLEARLY NEEDS TO GET HIS HEAD CHECKED!!! IS HE INSANE?! ICKY IYO USED AN ILLEGAL TRASH CAN TO CHEAP SHOT MY ENTIRE TEAM (not me though)!!! THAT MAKES YOU WRESTLER OF THE YEAR?!? ARIEL HAS LOST HIS TOUCH WITH REALITY!!! SO SAD, HE USED TO BE A GREAT REPORTER!!! DO BETTER ARIEL!!” she wrote.

Becky Lynch set for Intercontinental championship match next week

Since losing the Women’s Intercontinental championship, Becky Lynch has been itching to get the title back. She even attacked Maxxine Dupri on RAW a couple of weeks ago, only to have the champion make her tap out to the ankle lock.

Now, Big Time Becks will have her shot on the January 5 RAW edition on Netflix. She will face Dupri for the Intercontinental championship on what will be a Stranger Things-themed episode of RAW from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

It remains to be seen whether WWE puts the title back on Becky Lynch or whether Dupri continues her unbeaten run against the veteran star.
