Ayesha Howard, the ex-girlfriend of Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, publicly addressed their ongoing child support legal battle.
On July 21, news broke that a Georgia court ruled Edwards to pay $3,222 per month in child support for Aubri Summer Howard, Edwards and Howard’s one-year-old daughter.

On Wednesday on her Instagram story, Howard posted a lengthy message that addressed the social media narratives about her legal battle with Edwards. She also referenced US Census Bureau data to highlight the prevalence of fatherless households among Black children.

“Much of what is being published by blogs some of which have been paid to spin narratives to protect a client’s reputation is entirely false and disconnected from reality. However, whether true or false, this situation highlights a devastating cycle in our community: the normalization of absent fathers and the lack of parental accountability.”
Howard also said he is the mother of one of three children whom Edwards allegedly “abandoned.” She then slammed social media users for spreading false rumors about them, noting that they only want “proper” child support.
“Furthermore, the narrative labeling these mothers as ‘gold diggers’ for seeking proper care is entirely false. None of the mothers filed for support initially the father took each mother to court himself, choosing legal maneuvers over showing up for his children, effectively using the legal system to vanish from their lives.”
According to TMZ, the Fulton County Superior Court said Howard failed to appear in trial and did not provide evidence to support her claims. Anthony Edwards’ ex-girlfriend was reportedly seeking an increase in child support.
TMZ added that Edwards had paid a total of $110,000 in child support since January 2025. He began with an initial payment of $20,000, followed by $5,000 monthly.
Anthony Edwards scores another court victory over ‘vexatious litigant’ ex-GF
In addition to a favorable Georgia court ruling earlier this month, Anthony Edwards reportedly achieved another legal victory on Tuesday. According to Daily Mail’s Ruth Styles, a California court dismissed Ayesha Howard’s child support case.
Styles wrote that Los Angeles Superior Court justice Anne Kiley ruled against Howard after she failed to show up for trial and could not prove her residency on the West Coast. Further, the court dubbed Howard “a vexatious litigant” and prohibited her from filing further claims in LA.
Anthony Edwards previously alleged that Howard filed the case in LA to obtain a larger child support award. In addition to Howard not having enough evidence of sufficient residency in the city, the LA court noted that the child was not born there.
