Be educated, It’s in your yard

Danny Green brutally slammed Anthony Edwards for his comments on the tragic ICE shooting in Minneapolis. On Friday’s episode of the “No Fouls Given” podcast, the three-time NBA champion criticized the Timberwolves star for not knowing about the incident that happened in the city he plays for.

Green expressed his views on the subject after reviewing a locker room interview clip of the Timberwolves star.

“This is a serious issue and people can see he’s not really taking it that serious. I could see why people might take offense to it. As athletes we’re not supposed to have political opinions on certain things… If you’re going to speak on it you should be knowledgeable. It’s in your backyard,” he said.

Later, he advised Anthony Edwards to keep his silence on the matters that he has no strong opinions about.

“You should know what’s going on. If you don’t know then say I’d rather not speak on it right now. If you are going to speak on it speak in a serious matter. Give a strong opinion or no opinion. He kinda gave no opinion. He didn’t seem like he was that concerned or taking what was going on that seriously.”

The incident in question is the fatal shooting of intensive care nurse Alex Pretti. Some US Customs and Border Protection agents shot the nurse on Saturday. The tragic scenario has caused a nationwide uproar, with some groups demanding the abolition of the government organization.
