Beloved legend formally declares he is returning to WWE simply earlier than WrestleMania 42

A widely-respected wrestling legend has announced that he’s returning to WWE this week to teach the new crop of wrestlers at the Performance Center. In a recent tweet, Ricky Morton revealed that he was in Florida for the week.

Morton has been a part of the wrestling industry for close to 50 years now, having debuted way back in 1977. He was a part of the pioneering tag team, Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, with Robert Gibson, which was a rage back in the day. Despite being 69-years-old, the WWE Hall of Famer still regularly laces up his wrestling boots.

Apart from this, he has also dedicated himself to imparting wisdom to the new generation of performers. As part of this mission, Ricky Morton has announced that he will be in Orlando, Florida, this week and will be teaching at WWE’s PC.

Check out his announcement below:

“Orlando, Florida for the week! Fortunate to be able to teach, train, & give back. Catch ya soon, PC,” tweeted Morton.

WWE legend Ric Flair recently hinted at wanting to face Ricky Morton

Earlier this year, Ric Flair sent the wrestling world into panic mode when he claimed that he was planning to come out of retirement to face Ricky Morton.

The Nature Boy had revealed that talks had been held and that he was considering the offer. Since Flair has been battling several physical ailments, fans and even his own daughter, Charlotte Flair, vehemently urged him against it.

Soon after, Ric Flair issued a clarification that the comments were made in jest and that he was not looking to put his body at risk all over again. Flair and Morton go a long way back during their days in the Jim Crockett promotions, and it would be a treat to see them again together, just not in the ring.
