EA Sports has released the EA FC 26 The Portuguese Backline Titan Evolution in Ultimate Team, providing gamers the opportunity to level up low-tier centre-backs and turn them into defensive beasts on the virtual pitch. This is a paid EVO and requires either 20,000 coins or 300 FC Points to be unlocked, which comes as no surprise with how amazing the boosts on offer are.

This is similar to the defensive EVOs released previously during the Ultimate Scream promo, including the likes of Phantom Fullback and Rise from the Grave. However, while the previous two EVOs allowed fans to obtain amazing left-backs and right-backs, the EA FC 26 The Portuguese Backline Titan Evolution focuses solely on the centre-back position.

  • Position: CB
  • Pace: Max 85
  • PlayStyles: Max 10
  • Must not be: World Tour Silver Stars Icon

Unlike the recently released Fast Like Adama and The Undead Lion EVOs, which had four levels each, the EA FC 26 The Portuguese Backline Titan Evolution only has three levels. These are the boosts offered by each level:

Level 1 upgrades:

  • Bruiser PlayStyle
  • Sprint Speed +4 (Max 80)
  • Standing Tackle +6 (Max 86)
  • Interceptions +6 (Max 85)
  • Acceleration +4 (Max 80)

Level 2 upgrades:

  • CB Ball playing Defender+
  • Jockey PlayStyle
  • Defensive Awareness +8 (Max 87)
  • Strength +12 (Max 88)
  • Jumping +8 (Max 88)
  • Heading Accuracy +8 (Max 88)

Level 3 upgrades:

  • Slide Tackle PlayStyle
  • CB Defender++
  • Slide Tackle +6 (Max 87)
  • Aggression +15 (Max 88)
  • Stamina +6 (Max 84)

These are the challenges gamers will have to complete in various Ultimate Team modes like Rush, Rivals, Champions, Live Events or Squad Battles:

Level 1 challenges:

  • Play two matches in Squad Battles on minimum Semi Pro difficulty (or Rush/Rivals/Champions/Live Events) using your active EVO player.

Level 2 challenges:

  • Win two matches in any mode using your active EVO player.

Level 3 challenges:

  • Win one match in Squad Battles on minimum Semi Pro difficulty (or Rush/Rivals/Champions/Live Events) using your active EVO player.
  • Play two matches in Squad Battles on minimum Semi Pro difficulty (or Rush/Rivals/Champions/Live Events) using your active EVO player.

Overall, the EVO is worth the investment of coins or FC Points.
