A Democrat metropolis supervisor in San Francisco is blaming town’s large homeless drawback on capitalism. That is so dumb.
Who’re the folks in San Francisco defending capitalism? As we now have documented quite a few occasions, small enterprise homeowners and huge corporations are fleeing town in droves over crime and homelessness and nobody from town is sticking up for them.
San Francisco is run by leftists and has been for many years. Blaming capitalism is what silly, progressive, Bernie Sanders-supporting faculty college students do. It’s not acceptable from a metropolis official.

Preston’s District 5 contains the Tenderloin District, an space recognized for its open-air drug market. Almost half of town’s homeless inhabitants lived on this district in 2022, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
The Democratic Socialist supervisor argued his district was significantly affected by homelessness due to the nation’s financial construction.
“I think what you’re seeing in the Tenderloin is absolutely the result of capitalism and what happens in capitalism to the people at the bottom rungs,” the native chief reportedly remarked in a brand new documentary by the UK outlet, UnHerd.
“The biggest driver of why folks are on the street is because they lost their jobs, income or were evicted from their homes, usually for not being able to pay the rent. So you have major landlords literally causing folks to lose their homes, and real estate speculation making it impossible for folks to find an affordable place to live,” he reportedly mentioned within the interview.
Are there folks residing on the road as a result of they hit arduous occasions and misplaced their houses? Sure, completely. However they’re within the minority. The overwhelming majority of homeless folks in cities like San Francisco live that approach as a result of they’re mentally unwell, or hooked on medication, or each.

This isn’t a capitalism drawback. If something, town of San Francisco would look higher proper now in the event that they defended the capitalists (enterprise homeowners) as a substitute of coddling the homeless.
