Biden Priorities: Sends $300M in Weapons for Ukraine Whereas Pentagon Itself Has No Replacements and Is $10B Overdrawn | The Gateway Pundit

For the Joe Biden administration from hell, ‘America last’ is a mantra that pervades each facet of presidency.

With regards to Nationwide Protection, it isn’t any completely different.

That’s why it isn’t stunning that the Pentagon will rush about $300 million in weapons to Ukraine after discovering some ‘surprise’ price financial savings in its contracts – although the US navy itself is deeply overdrawn and desires no less than $10 billion to replenish all of the stock it has pulled from its shares to assist Kiev.

Associated Press reported:

“It’s the Pentagon’s first announced security package for Ukraine since December, when it acknowledged it was out of replenishment funds. It wasn’t until recent days that officials publicly acknowledged they weren’t just out of money to buy replacement weapons, they are $10 billion overdrawn.”

The Pentagon can’t give any extra weapons away till Congress supplies the extra replenishment funds.

“The replenishment funds have allowed the Pentagon to tug present munitions, air protection programs and different weapons from its reserve inventories underneath presidential drawdown authority, or PDA, to ship to Ukraine after which signal contracts to order replacements, that are wanted to take care of U.S. navy readiness.

[…] ‘When Russian troops advance and its guns fire, Ukraine does not have enough ammunition to fire back,” said national security adviser Jake Sullivan in announcing the $300 million in additional aid’.”

The ‘cost savings’ in a few of these longer-term contracts offset the brand new package deal and hold the replenishment spending underwater at $10 billion.

“One of many officers stated the package deal represented a ‘one time shot’ — except Congress passes the supplemental spending invoice, which incorporates roughly $60 billion in navy help for Ukraine, or extra price financial savings are discovered. It’s anticipated to incorporate anti-aircraft missiles, artillery rounds and armor programs, the official stated.

‘This is not a sustainable way to support Ukraine’, stated Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder, Pentagon press secretary, calling it a ‘one time good deal’ that officers can’t plan on occurring once more.”

That is the second time in 9 months that the Pentagon has ‘found’ cash for Ukraine.

The US has dedicated greater than $44.2 billion for the reason that starting of the battle in February 2022.
