Bite By Night is an asymmetrical horror that puts players in the role of Killers and Survivors. In each playthrough, a single player is selected as the Killer and tasked with eliminating all the Survivors before they can complete every objective and survive till 6:00 am in the game. As a Killer, you have to seek the civilians, be ruthless in your pursuit, and use your abilities tactically to slay them all.

All Bite By Night Killers and how to master their abilities
You can choose from three animatronics in Bite By Night. The Rotten is the default animatronic and is unlocked for free, while the rest require Scraps, the in-game currency. Scraps can be purchased from the Shop with Robux and acquired by murdering players as a Killer or surviving hours in a playthrough as a Survivor.
Here’s how to handle every animatronic and improve your winning chances.
The Rotten
The Rotten is all about trapping and rushing at its prey. It can plant bear traps to catch survivors, throw its axe to make its targets bleed, and roar to reveal the location of survivors.
- Keep your axe equipped at all times as it deals more damage (34) per hit than your animatronic’s claws (28).
- Use the Remnant Cleaver ability when you believe a Survivor is trying to escape through the door. Do note that the weapon does not penetrate walls and most objects.
- Place traps near doors and generators, as they are the hotspots of Survivor interactions.
- Scream reveals the locations of all hidden civilians and regenerates stamina, so make sure to use it during chases to outsprint Survivors.
- After Scream is used, the ability is replaced by Charge. Use it to break open barricaded doors, hit the Survivor, and reduce their health by 40%.
The Doppleganger
Compared to other animatronics, the Doppelganger currently has the highest health but the lowest speed. It can rip portions of itself to make minions and, most importantly, impersonate a dead Survivor.
- Use the Swing and Grab abilities as when the situation demands to overwhelm your prey. Swing is a close-range attack, while Grab causes the animatronic’s hand to extend directly in front of it.
- Do not use Wire Eyes on fleeing Survivors. Instead, trigger the ability when your prey is cornered. The minions will block their vision, deal damage, and let you make follow-up hits.
- After using Grab, use Wire Eyes to make escape almost impossible for Survivors.
- The Explode variant of the Skin Stealer is best used when the Survivors are grouped.
- Save the Stab variant of Skin Stealer until you find a player interacting with a generator. Due to the lunge, the target gets hit by the generator as well, usually getting ragdolled.
The Project
The Project currently deals the most amount of damage in Bite By Night. Although immensely versatile, its various modes can make or break a player’s gameplay, as it entirely depends on how you manage them.
- The Project does 40 damage with Swing when in its Strength mode. Although every bit of damage counts, its better to switch to Stealth mode for the undetectability buff. In this mode, a Swing deals 30 damage.
- You can complete entire playthroughs with the animatronic’s Stealth mode. It unlocks the Drill and Grab abilities while in this mode.
- Use Grab and then follow it with Drill Stab. The latter reduces the time taken by The Project to attack the player with the Grab ability.
- Switch to the Speed mode during pursuits. In this mode, use Leap to throw yourself at the Survivor and trap them on the ground. Finish the combo by switching to Stealth mode and triggering more abilities.
