Senator Bill Cassidy on Friday announced he will vote “yes” to confirm Todd Blanche as Attorney General.
Blanche has now won enough votes for the Senate confirmation after Cassidy made his announcement.
The Senate will vote to confirm Blanche on Friday.
“I’ll be criticized for this vote. What’s new?” Cassidy said in a Senate floor speech.
“The choice is not between perfection and Mr. Blanche. It is between Mr. Blanche and another acting attorney general who may not run the department effectively,” he added.
WATCH:
Cassidy’s announcement comes after RINO Senators Collins and Murkowski announced they would oppose Blanche for various reasons.
RINO Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska on Friday announced she will oppose Todd Blanche’s nomination for Attorney General.
Murkowski said the weaponization fund, handling of the release of the Epstein files, and sweeping immunity protections granted to President Trump and his family are a few reasons why she is opposing Blanche.
Earlier this week RINO Senator Susan Collin said she would vote ‘no’ on Todd Blanche’s nomination.
Both Senators Collins and Murkowski voted to confirm Biden’s radical Attorney General Merrick Garland.
