A major announcement on Mercedes Moné’s next blockbuster appearance has just been posted on social media. This comes following her continued absence from AEW.
The CEO has not been seen in AEW since the December 31st episode of Dynamite. She announced via a taped promo during the next show that she was taking a break from the company. Her next few appearances have been in various promotions around the world, as she has been defending her belts. Unfortunately, her setbacks have continued, as she is now down to only a third of her collection.
Mercedes Moné is set to appear on March 29 at Prime Time Wrestling in Poland. She’ll be putting her PTW Women’s Championship on the line against Diana Strong. The promotion has just announced that Moné will be holding a meet and greet session earlier that day, where fans can meet her before her title match.
“MEET AND GREET WITH MERCEDES MONE – OFFICIAL INFORMATION! This is your chance to meet Mercedes, take a photo with her and get exclusive merchandise! Meet and greet with the global superstar will take place on March 29 at 12:00 in Szafirowy Dwór (ul. Marcina 35, Kozłów near Gliwice). Later that day (at 4 PM) there will be a PTW: More Mone, More Problems pro wrestling show where Mercedes will defend her PTW Women’s Championship against Diana Strong!” the announcement read.
Mercedes Moné is down to 4 belts
Before she began her break from AEW, Mercedes went through a series of setbacks. She fell short in capturing the women’s world titles and women’s tag team titles, and she has lost a number of her belts. She dropped the TBS Championship, ROH Women’s TV Championship, and RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship.
From only having nine belts in her collection, she is now down to 4. Last weekend at RevPro High Stakes, she ended up losing the BODYSLAM Scandinavian title and the Discovery Scotland women’s title to Alexxis Falcon.
Mercedes Moné now only possesses the PTW Women’s title, WPW Women’s title, APAC Women’s title, and the commemorative belt for the Owen Hart Foundation tournament winner. She is set to defend both the first two titles on the line to end this month, but if her bad streak continues, she may only walk away with two belts remaining by April.
AEW is also set to begin the Owen Hart Foundation Cup season, so she may have to give this belt up eventually.
