BOJ unlikely to tighten coverage in January, concentrate on preparations for banks

An analyst at Daiwa in Japan is dismissing the thought of a January Financial institution of Japan coverage pivot.

• Its “quite unlikely” the BOJ will transfer away from detrimental brief time period charges on the January assembly.
• Arguing {that a} financial tightening wouldn’t assist the financial system, tightening is “not really desirable in theory”
• What the BOJ will do although, “I think the BOJ will lay the groundwork for banks to make preparations (for a change)”
