The Boston Breach came from behind to down the Vancouver Surge 3-2 on Saturday in qualifying action for the Call of Duty League’s Stage 1 Major.

Boston had the upper hand early thanks to a 250-165 win on Rewind Hardpoint, but it quickly fell into a 2-1 hole because of losses on Skyline Search & Destroy (6-2) and Vault Control (3-0). Vancouver couldn’t close the Breach out, though, and they made the Surge pay by taking Vault Hardpoint 250-169 and Red Card Search & Destroy 6-4.

OpTic Texas also prevailed 3-2, nearly blowing a commanding 2-0 advantage against the Los Angeles Guerrillas M8.

Los Angeles evened things at 2 by picking up a 3-2 win on Vault Control and a 250-175 victory on Skyline Hardpoint. On the decisive fifth map, Protocol, Texas came out on top 6-3 in a game of Search & Destroy.

The two other matches on Saturday ended up being 3-0 sweeps. The Toronto Ultra blanked the Vegas Falcons, while the Carolina Royal Ravens flew by the Atlanta FaZe.
