A former Women’s Champion suffered an injury on a WWE show tonight. She got hurt during a backstage incident.

The name in question is Kendal Grey from WWE NXT. Grey recently announced that she was medically cleared to compete after suffering an injury at Heatwave 2026. Meanwhile, the 25-year-old’s best friend, Wren Sinclair, won a battle royal to earn a shot at Kelani Jordan’s NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc.

On tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, Kendal Grey congratulated Wren Sinclair on earning a title match. The segment was followed by the contract signing for the NXT Women’s Championship bout at Halloween Havoc. Sinclair first came out to address Jordan and fire shots at her. However, the champion was nowhere to be found.

Lani finally showed up with a “gift” for Wren Sinclair. She dragged an injured Kendal Grey on the entrance ramp and continued to assault her. Grey was busted open and bruised after being ambushed by the NXT Women’s Champion in the backstage area.

Wren Sinclair rushed to save her best friend, but the damage was already done. Before Sinclair could exact revenge on behalf of Grey, Kelani Jordan escaped. The unexpected attack was a huge blow to the 31-year-old before she challenges Lani for the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc.
