BREAKING: Former WWE star passes away on the age of 44

In one of the most heartbreaking news stories of the day, beloved wrestling veteran and former WWE star Joe Doering has passed away. The news was recently broken by Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling on social media.

Joe Doering competed under the WWE banner for a short time

Joe Doering started his pro wrestling career in 2004. He competed for multiple wrestling promotions around the world for over a decade before stepping away from in-ring action in 2022 to undergo brain surgery. The late star competed in the Stamford-based promotion for a brief period of time in 2010. He made his debut in Florida Championship Wrestling, WWE’s developmental territory at that time, and competed in 19 matches on the brand before he was released from the company.

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling recently posted the news of Joe’s death on their official X handle, noting that the veteran passed away at 9:13 AM on June 26.

“At 9:13 a.m. today, June 26, our brother Joe Doering passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family.
