New details regarding the future of TNA Wrestling have recently emerged. The promotion is reportedly on the verge of securing a game-changing partnership that could completely reshape its talent pipeline for years to come.
According to a new report from PWInsider, TNA is expected to sign a working agreement with Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) to serve as the company’s new developmental territory.
Thanks for the submission!
Under the upcoming arrangement, OVW will serve as a system for developing up-and-coming talent before they debut on television.
The move comes directly on the heels of major executive movements. According to sources, Promotion’s President Carlos Silva was spotted attending recent OVW television tapings. Silva’s presence at the events strongly suggested behind-the-scenes negotiations, and he even missed TNA’s 1400th TV episode celebration to reportedly finalize the collaboration’s details.
This is not the first time these two companies have worked together. They previously established developmental partnerships from 2011 to 2013, and briefly again in 2019 under the Impact Wrestling banner.
Also, OVW remains widely known for its legendary stint as WWE‘s developmental system between 2000 and 2008, where it trained all-time greats like John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, and Batista.

Former Impact World Champion Sami Callihan was also released, effective immediately.
The official press release issued by Carlos Silva read:
