WWE has steered clear of a controversial figure for a long time, and it seems like the company stands firm on its decision.
A backstage update has emerged on Vince McMahon amid rumors of his potential return.

The 80-year-old has hardly been seen in any wrestling capacity since former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a sex trafficking lawsuit against him and the promotion. After years of a long-running legal battle, both parties have decided to go to private arbitration.
With the case all set to be dismissed, speculation is rife that Mr. McMahon could be coming back to WWE in some capacity. That doesn’t seem to be the case.
During a recent edition of Fightful Debunkathon, Sean Ross Sapp shut down the rumor, saying:
“Vince McMahon is not coming back to WWE and nobody wants him back. He has nothing of value to provide.”
D-Von Dudley reveals WWE’s stance on Vince McMahon’s return
Speaking on the Devon & The Duke Podcast, D-Von Dudley revealed that ‘a lot of people’ are open to welcoming Vince McMahon back with open arms. He said Mr. McMahon’s return lies in the hands of the shareholders.
“To me, I was told it was always because of the shareholders. If they see it to be okay and it goes away, then maybe so, but I know a lot of people who are interested in having Vince back. First they couldn’t wait for him to get out of there, and now they want him back. You’re damned if you do, you’re damned if you don’t. I don’t know; it all has to do with the shareholders if they want him to come back.”
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer hasn’t ruled out the idea of Vince McMahon’s return, but made it clear that he won’t be replacing either Triple H or Nick Khan anytime soon.
If anything, he will be brought back in a figurehead role.
With SummerSlam right around the corner, it will be interesting to see if Triple H is hiding a trick up his sleeve.
