BREAKING: WWE Legend Rey Mysterio Announces Blockbuster Return

WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has been doing a stellar job as the new General Manager of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. After this week’s show in San Luis Potosí, he made a blockbuster announcement.

The GM revealed that La Hiedra had wanted one final opportunity at the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Titles. Hence, Mysterio had decided to give her one last chance and made the blockbuster announcement of the return of the legendary Faby Apache. The 45-year-old will team up with Joachin Wild against the duo of Laredo Kid & La Hiedra.

Faby Apache is the daughter of the legendary Gran Apache and one of the most accomplished female wrestlers in the history of Lucha Libre. She has sporadically appeared for the Mexican promotion lately and was last seen in May earlier this year.

“La Hiedra approached me, adamant on winning back the [World] Mixed Tag Titles. So I decided to give her one last opportunity and she will team up with Laredo Kid against Joachin Wilde, and the AAA return of the legendary Faby Apache,” Mysterio announced.

The teams are set to collide next week, with the winners going on to face Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana at Verano de Escándalo for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship.

Faby Apache has won the Reina de Reinas Title on four occasions. She’s also held the AAA World Trios Championship once and the World Mixed Tag Team Title four times. Interestingly, one of those reigns came alongside the legend Gran Apache himself.

Rey Mysterio Has An AAA Title Vacated

The General Manager flexed his muscles on the latest edition of AAA.

Rey Mysterio took away the AAA Latin American Title from Omos after Dorian Roldán wanted to make The Nigerian Giant the new champion because of the knee injury to El Hijo del Vikingo.

The GM effectively stripped Vikingo of the gold, who is expected to be on the shelf for an undisclosed period. Interestingly, Damian Priest voiced his interest in the vacated title.

For now it remains to be seen what is next on Rey Mysterio’s agenda after the blockbuster announcement of Faby Apache’s return.
