Zelina Vega dropped heartbreaking news on social media, announcing the passing of her uncle. Plenty of WWE Superstars, such as Brie Bella and Santos Escobar, reacted to Vega’s announcement.
In a post on Instagram, Vega revealed that her Tio Papo has passed away. The tragic news comes less than four months after her uncle Michael, whom she considered her second father, died.

“You’ll always inspire me and remind me to keep fighting. The party moved upstairs and I look forward to the day that we get to have one of our family reunions.. seeing you all laughing and dancing again. Say hi to Michael Michael, Joey, Papa and my Dad for me. I love you so much,” Zelina wrote.
Several of Zelina Vega’s peers like Natalya, Brie Bella, Tyson Kidd, Santos Escobar, Kelani Jordan, Maxxine Dupri and Jaida Parker commented on her Instagram post.
Aleister Black opens up about getting paired with Zelina Vega on WWE television
Back in October, Zelina Vega aligned herself with her real-life husband Aleister Black during his feud against Damian Priest. Vega turned heel and helped Black beat Priest in a Last Man Standing match.
Speaking to The Stunner in an exclusive interview, Black opened up about what it’s like working with her wife on WWE television.
“I think it came at a good time and allowed for yet another part of that character to manifest. My wife has been a manager and a wrestler, but she has never been a manager wrestler within this type of setting. For her, there are a lot of windows and rooms to venture out and test some grounds. It is a different and exciting thing for both of us,” Black said.
Black added that before he left WWE in 2021, there was an initial pitch for Zelina to manage him on television. Upon his return last year, it was pitched again, but the company waited for the right moment to make it happen.
