An award-winning chip store within the U.Ok., Golden Chippy, has been advised by the native council that it should take away a Union flag mural outdoors its store.

In response to The Daily Mail, Greenwich council, the place the store is situated,  stated they acquired a “‘number of complaints’ about the mural” which options the phrase ‘A Great British Meal,’ saying it was an ‘unauthorised advert.’

GB News reports:

The store’s proprietor, Chris Kanizi and his workers have been left puzzled by the choice from Greenwich Council, who stated they made the order after “a number of complaints [were] made to local ward councillors.”

Nonetheless, close by residents have spoken out in favour of the mural, with one even telling GB Information that it reminded them of a Banksy portray.

One resident stated: “It doesn’t offend me at all. It’s a fish and chip shop isn’t it? I’ve got nothing against it. It’s just a part of the advertising.”

One other stated: “I think it’s quite good and quite beautiful. It shows the flag of Great Britain and I think that’s good. I don’t think they should take it down.”
