Broken Blade is an action RPG simulation created by SkyRift Devs. In this Roblox experience, you have to collect weapons, battle powerful enemies, gather useful items, and continue getting stronger as you progress through different worlds. As the name suggests, you will have to repair broken weapons, including swords and katanas. Once you mend them, you can equip them in combat to defeat enemies, level up, earn better loot, and unlock new items.
This guide provides a complete overview of Broken Blade, covering its core gameplay mechanics and other important details you should know to progress quickly.
Getting Started in Broken Blade

When you first start playing Broken Blade, you will receive a one-star Sword called the Nameless Blade. This will be your starting weapon and the one you will use to begin progressing through the game.
All weapons in Broken Blade are measured by a star system, with rarities ranging from one star all the way up to four stars. In addition, every weapon belongs to one of three different categories: Sword, Katana, or Buster.
The main gameplay loop revolves around collecting different materials and resources. These items come in various rarities and are mainly used for crafting and upgrading your weapons. Weapons are found in a broken state, and you will need to repair them before you can use them in combat.
Repairing a weapon requires Gems, Coins, and several crafting materials that correspond to the type of weapon you are making. As you continue defeating enemies and gathering resources, you will be able to repair stronger weapons and steadily increase your overall power.
Islands
Broken Blade currently features around seven different islands. Most of them are level progression islands that unlock as you become stronger, while others are dedicated to raids, events, or special game modes.
The current islands in the game are:
- Origin Island: Level 1
- Helheim Island: Level 301
- Muspelheim Island: Level 1,001
- Niflheim Island: Level 4,001
- Nidavellir Island: Demon Challenge (Raid)
- Eclipse: Redemption of Gods (Event)
- Jotunheim: Level 13,000 (Skyspire)
Weapons
As of now, there are a total of eight weapons available across these categories, and they are the primary way of dealing damage to enemies in Broken Blade. The materials needed to craft them can be acquired by defeating enemies, opening chests, or redeeming in-game codes. Here are all of the weapons in this title:
- Wind Fang
- Night Whisper
- Excalibur
- Stone Cleaver
- Light Scar
- Moon Cut
- Soul Devourer
- Dragon Slayer
To craft a weapon, you first need to obtain its Broken Blade version. After that, you must gather the required resources, which usually include Coins, Gems, and weapon-specific crafting materials. For example, if you are crafting a Sword, you will need Sword Piece I, Sword Piece II, and Sword Piece III, along with the other required materials. The same system applies to the other weapon types, each requiring its own corresponding shards.
Crafting Elements
Crafting a weapon is only the beginning. Once you have repaired and unlocked it, you can further strengthen it by using Elements. After obtaining a weapon, a forging interface becomes available where you can place different elemental materials from your inventory.
Each elemental material provides its own unique buffs and stat bonuses, and these bonuses become stronger as you continue upgrading them. If you want to improve your weapon even further, you can visit the Forge Master NPC on Muspelheim Island or use the Soul Forge located on Jotunheim Island.
Blessings
Blessings are another important mechanic in Broken Blade. As the game draws heavily from Nordic mythology, players can receive blessings from various gods and legendary figures within this tradition. Here are all the Blessings you can get in Broken Blade:
- Dark (Common)
- Light (Common)
- Valkyrie (Uncommon)
- Einherjar (Uncommon)
- Vidar (Rare)
- Vali (Rare)
- Eir (Rare)
- Njord (Epic)
- Frigg (Epic)
- Freyr (Epic)
- Baldr (Epic)
- Tyr (Legendary)
- Thor (Legendary)
- Loki (Legendary)
- Heimdall (Legendary)
- Freyja (Legendary)
- Surtr (Mythical)
- Odin (Mythical)
- Jormungandr (Mythical)
- Hel (Mythical)
- Fenrir (Mythical)
To receive a blessing, you will need Blessing Rerolls, and your character must be at least level 1,000 to use them. The first Blessing Reroll can be easily obtained for free from the Reroll Shop. Currently, there are 21 different Blessings available, categorized across six rarities. The Reroll Shop is located on Helheim Island, near the Moraro boss. This shop always has three different items in stock, and its inventory refreshes frequently, so it’s a good idea to check back often.
Elements
Elements are another progression system in Broken Blade, but they are different from the elemental materials used for forging weapons. These Elements provide powerful buffs and passive bonuses when equipped. After surpassing level 499, you can use this item after obtaining Element Rerolls. As of now, there are six unique Elements available across six rarities:
- Earth (Common)
- Water (Uncommon)
- Life (Rare)
- Wind (Epic)
- Fire (Legendary)
- Thunder (Mythical)
One of the interesting parts about this system is that you are not limited to a single Element. Depending on your luck, you can obtain and equip multiple of them at the same time. For example, you can combine Earth, Fire, Thunder, Water, and Wind to gain the benefits and stat boosts from all of them. Because of this, it is recommended that you keep using Element Rerolls until you get a combination that suits your build.
Races
Races are one of the most important progression mechanics in Broken Blade, as they provide various bonuses. Currently, there are a total of nine Races available across six different rarities:
- Human (Common)
- Dwarves (Uncommon)
- Giant (Rare)
- Flame (Epic)
- Frost (Epic)
- Vanir (Legendary)
- Nether (Legendary)
- Elf (Legendary)
- Aesir (Mythical)
To obtain one, you will need a Race Reroll item, which can be purchased from the same Reroll Shop on Helheim Island. You can also acquire them through trading or by grinding bosses, especially the Nuvaron boss.
